Three main challenges that organizations face in order to enhance knowledge sharing

1) Little to no support or priorization for formal knowledge sharing (knowledge flows are mostly informal and are not captured by the knowledge management system)

2)Cross group collaboration is not effective

3)Virtual tools and environments are too bureaucratic and do not support trust and personal networks
